Here we go again, another Beyonce scandal...not quite. Well there are reports going out that Beyonce's song 'Halo' which was written by Ryan Tedder (lead singer of One Republic) from her new album I Am...Sasha Fierce was originally intended for Leona Lewis. Ryan was impatiently waiting for Leona to record the track and decided to give it to Beyonce.

"Simon was desperate to get Ryan to write for Leona and the pair effectively agreed Halo would be hers. But Leona was to busy to record it and Ryan got fed up and took it to Beyonce. Cowell was said to be shocked by the news that Beyonce had recorded the track as he had previously agreed with Tedder that the song would be recorded by Leona. An insider at SongBMG, Leona's record label, said: "Leona's diary is so rammed it didn't look like she could record it until next year."-Source

I don't see how Beyonce has anything to do with this. Ryan was the one who was impatient and gave the song away. Simon could take legal action. What I'm getting out of this is there was some sort of a verbal agreement made between him and Ryan that the song would be Leona's. So Simon could sue for loss of potential income. I can't hate on this song, I think Bee sounds great on it. I think this would have been a great comback song for Leona.
